Feast of flavours and colours

Mexico is a well known hotbed of culinary action with incredible flavour combination. The Mexican food festival with celebrity chef, especially flown for this occasion created a culinary journey at the Kingsbury Hotel recently.

It was week long gastronomic journey of Mexico, it coincided with the celebration of Mexico’s National Day in Sri Lanka for the first time.

The Embassy of Mexico and the Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Sri Lanka headed by Mohan Pandithage hosted this festival featuring celebrity chef Gabriela Ruiz Lugo . The Mexican cuisine has always captured the hearts of Sri Lankans, with its exotic spices, and other mouth watering seasonings.

It was a night of entertainment at the hotel with special invitees. Mexican music and beautiful lyrics in Spanish sung by a singer flown for this special kept the invitees spellbound. A vibrant inspired atmosphere took the diners to the bustling streets of Mexico, for authentic Mexican food. A painting exhibition depicting Mexican culture and social ethos was unveiled by Chairman,Hayleys Group, Mohan Pandithage.  Pix by Thushara Athapaththu
