Expressay crash kills Austrian, injures two others

A 37-year-old Austrian national died and two others were injured when the van they were travelling in collided with a lorry on the Outer Circular Expressway yesterday morning.

The van was taking the tourists to the Katunayaka Airport.Police said that the lorry which was travelling in front of the van stopped suddenly due to a mechanical issue and the van crashed into the lorry.

The injured were admitted to the Colombo North Teaching Hospital.The mother of the deceased person and their Sri Lankan driver were among injured.Mahabage police are conducting further investigations.
