Christmas cake mixing at the Waters Edge took place on November 4th at the hotel where the chief guest was Minister of Urban Development and Housing Prasanna Ranatunga.

The Waters Edge hotel, a landmark leisure and hospitality facility owned by the government of Sri Lanka is poised to operate on a par with any of the star class hotels in Colombo, Malith Perera, the Chairman at Waters Edge told The Island.

“|From 3rd of December 2023 to 3rd of January 2024, we are going to transform the entire environment of the Waters Edge Hotel to align with a special theme called ‘Winter Wonderland’. That is more of a snowy theme with a dedicated entertainment park along with all necessary accompaniments. And we are going to have a number of events especially designed for children and great family-time together on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and at the dawn of the New Year”, Malith said.

“Meticulously arranged High Tea at the weekends, Christmas Eve dinner, the Boxing Day lunch and the December 31st gala dinner dance will be much more appealing to the guests this year,” he said,

“Furthermore, from March 2024 onwards, we are going to roll out a multi-cuisine restaurant at the hotel where key culinary leaders from India, Thailand, Japan and China will be presenting authentic dishes unique to those countries,” the Waters Edge chairman said.
