Ex-SP arrested for drunk driving

Retired SP D Lawrence was arrested, on Saturday night, for drunk driving, three accidents and speeding away in defiance of police orders, police headquarters sources said.

The former SP was taken into custody by the Cinnamon Gardens police. He had been on his way back home from a wedding reception, police said, adding that he had caused three accidents.A special road barricade had been put up to stop the retried SP, a senior police officer said.
