E-W Information Systems (EWIS) and its group companies emerged victorious with three titles being bestowed at the recently concluded awards presented by Great Place to Work Institute, Sri Lanka for the year 2020.

EWIS together with EWIS Peripherals was recognized among the top 40 Best Workplaces for the fifth year.

EWIS Colombo Limited, Sri Lanka’s first and only fully-fledged Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) plant was ranked among the ‘10 Best Workplaces for Women 2020’ for the second consecutive year.

The company actively promotes women empowerment with a safe and secure environment for the staff, and this is well reflected in its state-of-the-art plant located at Sooriyawewa in Hambantota where over 80 percent of its workforce are women, breaking away from the traditionally male-dominant industry.

EWIS was ranked in the inaugural list of the ‘10 Best Small and Medium IT/ITES Workplaces’ in Sri Lanka. E-W Information Systems is also certified as a ‘Great Workplace’ by Great Place to Work Sri Lanka for the sixth consecutive year.

With a reputation as a pioneer in the country’s ICT industry over 34 years, EWIS continues to embrace and take its people-centric philosophy to greater heights, recognizing that its people are at the heart of everything it does.

“Our staff is our biggest asset. Respect, sharing and caring is a way of life taught by our parents and this is the very same philosophy we follow and embrace at EWIS,’ said EWIS Chairman, Sanjeewa Wickramanayake.

“Our people-focused strategy considers all aspects of the employee experience. Mutual respect and caring for people at workplace is inculcated from inception. This is our strength and success as a team, working towards one vision,’ he added.

The annual awards conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute recognize organizations in Sri Lanka based on the feedback received by their respective employees through an anonymous employee survey, followed by a cultural audit on the practices which drive employee experience.

EWIS operates primarily in the field of IT with diversified interests in numerous businesses, including manufacturing of IT products, ICT infrastructure, software development, peripherals, education and healthcare.

The company is a pioneer in the industry providing their services and knowledge to many nationally significant projects with an undisputed reputation for reliability, dedication and service excellence. As a non-aligned service provider and a local IT company having its own Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) plant, EWIS is ambitious to set its mark in the global technology/IT arena.
