Eran asks PM to inform Parliament of progress in probe into C-4 allegations
SJB MP Eran Wickramaratne has asked Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena to inform Parliament of the progress made by the Presidential Commission appointed to probe into the allegations levelled by Channel 4 on the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The MP has also called on the Prime Minister to inform the House of the date when the said Commission findings would be made available to Parliament, and the general public, and the reasons if there was no progress in the investigations, according to the latest Addendum of the Order Book of Parliament.
Wickramaratne has demanded Premier Gunawardena to inform the House of the reasons for the appointment of a Select Committee of Parliament to investigate into the same allegations levelled by Channel 4 regarding the Easter Sunday attacks.
The MP has also asked for the progress made by that Select Committee, if there is no progress, why, and of the parameters of that Committee.
The Prime Minister has also been asked to inform the House of the reasons the government has repeatedly ignored calls for an independent international inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks.
