Energy Ministry: Petrol sufficient for 30 days available, more stocks to reach Colombo

The Energy Ministry yesterday denied website reports of an imminent petrol shortage. Aravinda Atukorale, an aide to Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila issued a statement assuring that there were sufficient stocks for a 30-day period. Atukorale said that the vessel carrying 35,000 metric tons of petrol was scheduled to reach Colombo on July 19th.
