Dialog’s Genie partners MyDoctor

In its most recent collaborative effort, Genie, Sri Lanka’s first PCI-DSS-certified payment app, has seamlessly integrated its services with MyDoctor, Sri Lanka’s pioneering digital health solution provider, to enable customers with a convenient digital payment facility to meet all their healthcare needs.

Powered by Dialog Axiata PLC (“Dialog”), the Genie and MyDoctor partnership will empower users with a mobile PCR test which can be scheduled via the MyDoctor mobile app, thereby eliminating the need for them to step into a congested clinic. MyDoctor app users can choose Genie as a convenient payment method in order to book the lab facility & easily pay for their tests. This offering is in addition to the suite of healthcare services provided by the MyDoctor platform, including video and audio consultations with a qualified pool of doctors, mobile lab facilities, online lab reports, doorstep medicine delivery and chronic disease management.

With the integration of the tokenization features offered by Genie in the MyDoctor App, customers will not face the need to enter their details each time they make a payment. MyDoctor’s customers can now store their Credit/Debit Card on the App, using Genie. Once the card details are securely entered and verified for the first time, customers can use the ‘One-Click-Pay’ option, eliminating the need to re-enter their card details each time they make a payment. One-Click-Pay is an effective and secure alternative when transferring sensitive information, adding an extra level of security to credit/debit card payments and fast becoming a catalyst in fighting fraud whilst creating a seamless payment process.

Speaking on this integration, Renuka Fernando, Group Chief Digital Services Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC stated “I am pleased to state that over the years, MyDoctor and Genie have each taken great strides in revolutionizing Sri Lanka’s digital landscape. Since its inception, MyDoctor has created avenues of accessible healthcare at a patient’s fingertips while Genie has extended its virtual payment service to a myriad of merchants and customers island-wide, reaching new heights in financial inclusivity with it’s convenient and easy payment mechanism. This partnership comes at a pivotal time for the country as we aim to better provide patients contactless healthcare offerings and payment systems in the backdrop of the global pandemic”.

“We are pleased to onboard the superior payment services offered by Genie on to the MyDoctor platform” shared Somashree Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer of Digital Health (Pvt) Ltd, further adding “the MyDoctor platform caters to all medical requirements and is a convenient, effective and efficient solution to facilitate a modern patient’s dynamic lifestyle. MyDoctor combines visionary thinking and cutting-edge technology in order to present an integrated suite of health and medical services at a patient’s convenience and now with the addition of Genie on to the platform, MyDoctor customers are further facilitated with a seamless, contact-free payment mechanism”.
