Edmond Ranasinghe 94 today

Former Editor of Irida Divaina, Divaina and The Island Edmond Ranasinghe celebrates his 94th birthday today (14).

Ranasinghe joined the Daily News in early 1952. He served Lake House until 1970.He returned to Lake House in 1977 and served there until he accepted the late Upali Wijewardene’s invitation to be the founder editor of Irida Divaina ,in 1981.
