EDEX Kandy Careers Expo 2024 ends

EDEX Kandy Careers Expo, concluded on Sunday 18th February 2024, at the Kandy City Centre.

The highlight of the event was the seminar series delivered by prominent corporate personalities among whom was Sunil Dissanayake, who delivered a talk, on SOFT SKILLS FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP to a packed audience.

Dissanayake spoke of 26 Soft Skills which he had identified from his 50-year career holding senior management positions with multinationals in Dubai and Sri Lanka in both private and public sectors, in hospitality and human resources.

The Soft Skills, Dissanayake had identified were delivered using live examples ‘Story Telling’ of successful and unsuccessful implementation of soft skills which had led to the success or otherwise in performance, some of the key Soft Skills he had identify were Core Knowledge, Transformational Leader, Collaborator, Humility, Empathy, Leading by example, Coaching, Mentoring, Handling Cultural Diversity, Leading By Walking Around, etc.
