Easter Sunday carnage: Cardinal Ranjith briefs UNHRC

The Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has briefed Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as regards the developments since the 2019 Easter Sunday carnage.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 49th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. The meeting took place close on the heels of the Cardinal meeting the Pope.

The Church has repeatedly accused the incumbent dispensation of failing to address their concerns.
