Dullas says their economic policies similar to those espoused by NPP
The Freedom People’s Congress (Nidahasa J0anatha Sabawa) had attempted to unite all opposition parties during the past 18 months but without success, FPC leader, MP Dullas Alahapperuma, said.
However, FPC had not given up the idea of creating a broad coalition of opposition parties, he added.
Once the elections were declared, most parties would be more pragmatic, he said, noting that they had prepared an economic policy manifesto, which bore similarities to the economic proposals of the National People’s Power (NPP). (RK)
