Dozens killed in Jabalia camp strike – Gaza official

An Israeli air attack has hit apartment blocks in a residential area of the densley populated Jabalia refugee camp,  killing and wounding hundreds. The director of nearby Indonesian Hospital says at least 50 people were killed, but there are fears the toll could rise. Israel has confirmed that it carried out the assault, claiming it targeted a Hamas commander.

At least 8,525 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks since October 7. More than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel.
