Prevents Wrinkles:

Beetroot can help you have an ageless beauty that you have secretly dreamt of always. Packed with anti-oxidants, beetroot is very helpful in warding off the early signs of ageing and fine lines, by increasing the skin’s elasticity and prevents sagging skin, thereby giving you a younger-looking skin.

Method:

Mix a little bit of beetroot juice with honey and milk. Apply it as a thick coating on your face, at least once or twice a week, consistently. This homemade mask will lessen the wrinkles on your face and give you a natural, youthful glow.

Treats Dandruff:

Fungal infection and dry scalp, which are the main causes of dandruff, can be dealt naturally with beetroot. Enzymatic properties of beetroot reduce flaking and eliminate dandruff-causing bacteria. Beetroot also moisturises the scalp and keeps fungi away, leaving your hair soft and shiny.

Method:

Just add vinegar with beetroot juice and apply it to your hair. Later, wash it off with shampoo. The process is effective in treating itchy dandruff and making your hair soft and manageable.

Acne and Pimple-free Skin:

Oily skin is often considered the root cause of acne, zits and pimples. By using beetroot, you can control the factor that causes acne breakouts. It removes the excess oil that gets trapped in the pores, thereby giving you acne-free skin. It also soothes itching and inflammation around the pimples as it is antiseptic and anti-microbial.

Method:

Mix beetroot juice with tomato juice, in equal proportion, and apply it to your face. Leave it to dry for at least 15 minutes. Wash it off to have a positive result on those stubborn blemishes. It also removes blackheads and whiteheads.

Dye your Hair Red:

Beetroot can be used to dye your hair. It’s a great way to add a temporary tint to your locks. Also, those who feel awkward about the greys can now cover the strands, naturally.

Method:

You can mix half a cup of carrot juice with half a cup of beetroot juice. Pour the entire solution over your hair rubbing the strands slowly with the other hand. Allow the juice to remain on your hair for an hour or two. This will leave your hair with a reddish or purplish hue. Repeat as often as necessary to achieve the colour you want.

(Note: The shade you achieve depends on the work you do to strengthen the colour; for example, repeating the process in a row to achieve darker shades. Also, you have to take extra measures while applying a beetroot mix. Wear rough clothes and hand gloves to avoid staining your clothes and hands and your bathroom, as well.)
