Doha scene…after 14 years

Rajiv Sebastian had a special invitation coming his way, last week…to perform in Doha.The occasion, held on Wednesday, 28th June, was the first anniversary celebrations of the Horizon Manor Hotel Baila Bar & Lounge, and it was called the ‘Eid Bash’.

Rajiv was featured as a guest artiste and was backed by the band Fuse, made up of Sri Lankans, living in Doha, with DJs Mark and Arbin also doing the needful.

“It was a great event and the atmosphere was terrific, with everyone having a good time,” said Rajiv.

It was his sixth trip to Doha…but after 14 years.Back in Colombo, Rajiv will now move into action, with his band The Clan, at the Sky Lounge, The Kingsbury, on Tuesdays.The Sky Lounge, incidentally, will be featuring artistes on a daily basis and some of the names mentioned included Flame, Black Jacket and Catch 22.
