Docs to boycott VIP ambulances and clinics organised by politicians
By Sujeewa Thathsara
The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge has said that from 01 November doctors will not travel in ambulances that accompany VIP motorcades.
The Central Committee of the GMOA has taken this decision as the government has not responded to repeated appeals to protect the state healthcare system, Dr. Althuge said.
The doctors would also not participate in health clinics organised by politicians for propaganda and public relations purposes, he said.
