Doc arrested for giving insulin overdose to wife

A doctor was nabbed by the Bambalapitiya Police for administering an overdose of insulin to his wife.

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the victim, a resident of Colombo 05, had been admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.

The Bambalapitiya Police had launched an investigation.

Investigations have revealed that the overdose of insulin had been administered by the woman’s husband, who was arrested yesterday.

The man has been identified as a 33-year-old doctor.

The syringe used to administer the medicine has been found at the suspect’s residence.
