Discount on embarkation levy at Jaffna International Airport extended

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to extend the fifty percent discount on the embarkation levy given to passengers using the Jaffna International Airport by another six (06) months.

Cabinet approval was granted on 19.12.2022 to charge only 50% of the Embarkation Levy payable by international airlines operating out of Jaffna International Airport for a period of six months to promote the use of the airport. The six months ended on 11.07.2023.
