Dinara reaches quarter-finals

Dinara de Silva reached the quarter-finals of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 girls’ tournament at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Wednesday.

She beat Yushan Shao of China 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 to secure the quarter-final spot.

Dinara was the only player from the host country in both the boys’ and girls’ categories to remain in the competition after Saajida Razick, Methwan Wijemanne and NithilaGoonetilleke were eliminated from the last 16 round.
