108th National Tennis Championships 

Dinara de Silva and Methwan Wijemanne won the Under 16 girls’ and boys’ titles of the 108th National Tennis Championships continued at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Thursday.

Dinara beat Ruwi Lewkebandara 6-1, 6-0 in the final to clinch the title. St. Bridget’s Convent player reached the final after ousting Aaraa Azim (6-0, 6-2) in the semi-final. In the quarter-final, she beat Sandithi Usgodaarachchi 7-6 (3), 6-1.

In the Under 16 boys’ final, Wijemanne beat Ganuka Fernando 6-1, 2-6, 6-1. Wijemanne secured the final berth after scoring victories against Louis Knese (semi-finals 6-4, 4-6, 6-0) and Aahil Kaleel  (quarter-final 6-4, 6-1)
