Dinara, Ivanka reach semi-finals

Sri Lanka girls’ team are set to meet Turkmenistan in the semi-final today after Ivanka Samarasinghe and Dinara de Silva guided the hosts to a 2-0 win over Malaysia in the quarter-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup Junior pre qualifying tournament at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association Courts in Colombo on Thursday.

While Samarasinghe beat Zooey Mak 6-2, 6-2, De Silva out did Daania Daniella with a 6-2, 6-1 win.In the Junior Davis Cup qualifying tournament the hosts suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Jordan.
