Digital Economic policies to stay even if governments change – State Minister for Technology

State Minister for Technology, Kanaka Herath, during a press conference conducted today (18) at the Presidential Media Centre (PMC) under the theme “Collective Path to a Stable Country.” articulated his commitment to implementing a steadfast digital economic policy that remains consistent across transitions of governments. He emphasized that the groundwork for this initiative will commence in the upcoming year, with provisions allocated in the 2024 budget.

He said that over Rs.02 billion has been allocated in this year’s budget for digitization and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
