Diana knows best what citizenship she holds and must speak out
What is this row in Parliament about the citizenship of one of its members? Surely the MPs have more important things to talk and debate about, specially during the budget debate.
If there is a law in the land saying if you are not a citizen of Sri Lanka, you cannot be a member of her Parliament, so be it. It’s not an abstruse or archaic law but one enacted fairly recently.
It should be within the abilityt of Pariament or any other relevant authority to resolve it. Better still, the lady in the eye of the storm should speak for herself without fire and fury and tell Parliament and the people what they want to hear – THE TRUTH.
She knows best what citizenship/s she holds. So let her speak out.
