Diamond Cutters donates PCR machine
Diamond Cutters Limited, a BOI registered Company operating in the country for over three decades has donated a PCR machine to the Government/ People of Sri Lanka at the Prime Minister’s office on June 7.
Diamond Cutters Ltd, which is a fully owned subsidiary of the NIRU GROUP, handed over the machine as part of the “NIRU CARE” programme. This programme is proactively administered by Company Chairman Ranjeet Barmecha (from India) and is rolled out on an annual basis across the globe. This programme is themed on the fundamentals of giving back to society, and has been providing educational support services for the past few years to under-privileged children in Sri Lanka. This year an additional budget has been allocated to assist in the space of medical support services in Sri Lanka.
The handing over event was attended by Sanjay Baid (Managing Director), Sambhav Baid (Director) and Rajendra Samaranayaka (Finance Director) from Diamond Cutters in the presence of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Yoshitha Rajapaksa (Chief of staff of the PMO) and Senthil Thondaman(Vice President of CWC and coordinating secretary to the Prime Minister) at Temple Trees.
The machines would be installed at the Diyatalawa Hospital on the recommendations of the health ministry and instructions of the Prime Minister.
