Dialog Axiata claims top honours at e-Swabhimani Awards

Dialog Axiata PLC was recognised at the prestigious e-Swabhimani Awards 2021, for its outstanding digital inclusion and community investment initiatives, including Sayuru, Yeheli, and Saru for their contribution to inclusion, empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

The e-Swabhimani Awards, organised by the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, recognise outstanding digital initiatives across a range of industries that have made a significant impact on society. Sayuru, a free, trilingual weather and warning SMS service for day-boat fishermen, was awarded as the winner in the Inclusion and Empowerment category. Yeheli, an anonymous, free and trilingual platform that connects users with expert advice in the categories of medical health, mental health & well-being, and legal, was awarded the joint winner in the Health & Well-being category. Saru, a Precision Automated Agriculture Automation Solution designed to enhance crop quality, was awarded the joint winner in the Environment & Green Energy category. The panel of judges meticulously evaluated Dialog’s digital inclusion products, assessing various aspects including their product objectives, user impact, uniqueness, innovativeness, target audience, promotional strategies, usage statistics, and guidelines for product use.
