DFCC Bank recognized at the Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards in Germany

DFCC Bank, one of Sri Lanka’s fully-fledged commercial banks was recently recognized at the Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards 2021 in Karlsruhe, Germany for the 9th consecutive year with 2 awards.

They were namely; Sustainability Leader of the Year Certificate of Merit to the CEO of DFCC Bank, Lakshman Silva to recognize his exceptional leadership in driving the business performance of DFCC Bank PLC, through creating social, economic and environmental values and the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Business Sustainability Achievement to recognize success in incorporating sustainability in its corporate strategy and its business processes.Due to travel restrictions as a result of the pandemic, DFCC Bank was represented at the awards ceremony by Darma Vivekachandran, Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Radolfzell, Germany.

In a congratulatory message sent to Lakshman Silva, CEO of DFCC Bank, Arshad Rab, CEO of the European Organization for Sustainable Development (EOSD), the main organizer for this event, has stated, “We warmly congratulate you on being honoured with the Certificate of Merit, Sustainability Leader of the Year 2021.
