Devotees at St Anthony’s Feast at Katchatheevu restricted to 8,000

The number of devotees attending the annual St. Anthony’s Feast in Katchatheevu Islet this year will be restricted to 8,000, a spokesman for the organising committee said.

Accordingly 4,000 Sri Lankan and an equal number of Indian devotees will be allowed to attend the 2024 festival. The feast will be held between 23 and 24 February.The navy will provide food, drinking water and sanitary facilities to those attending the feast.
