Devananda throws his weight behind RW’s candidature

EPDP leader Douglas Devananda has pledged his party’s support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s candidature at the forthcoming presidential election.

Addressing a gathering at an EPDP Office in Trincomalee, Devananda said that the election of Wickremesinghe as President would be beneficial to the Tamil people.

The Fisheries Minister said that the UNP leader could address political and economic problems, while also urging the Tamil community to rally around the EPDP as it could facilitate government intervention to address their grievances.
