Devananda says Prez wants him to handle missing persons’ issue
Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda says he has received instructions from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to discuss ways and means of addressing the grievances of the families of missing persons.
Minister Devananda said that the President had directed him to do so when he took up the matter with him on behalf of the affected families.
President Rajapaksa said that though successive governments tried to address the issue they hadn’t been successful, accordign to Minister Devananda.
