Deshan wins junior men’s category event  

Deshan Kavinda of Fun Bee Cycling Club, Sachin Umesh of Kadirana Speed Cycling Club and Javinda Dilshan of Boralesgamuwa Cycling Club won the first three places in the Junior men’s category event of the Nestomalt Cycling Challenge 2022 successfully conducted in Colombo on Sunday.

The top three finishers clocked 44 minutes and 11 seconds. Vinod Prasanna of Southern Cycling Club and Tharanga Fernando of Golden Cycling Club finished fourth and fifth respectively.

The Nestomalt Cycling Challenge 2022 concluded successfully powering the ambitions of over 400 aspiring cyclists from around the country. Organized by the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the second consecutive year, the event was sponsored by Nestlé Nestomalt.

The junior men’s event was one of the seven races which took place at Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo, amidst the cheers of enthusiastic spectators.
