Deeds for doctors of Vedagama traditional medicine village
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal made by the Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine to hand over deeds of transfer to the 25 traditional doctors who were allocated land at ‘Vedagama’ Medicinal Village in Dompe.
The Model Village ‘Vedagama’ has been established within Dompe Divisional Secretariat area to evaluate the services of doctors who have been engaged in indigenous medicine in Sri Lanka so that indigenous medicine can be uplifted and the services of doctors who show skills for different fields can be obtained at one place. Each traditional doctor has been allocated a one acre plot of land.
