Deduru Oya reservoir brimful

Two sluice gates of the Deduru Oya reservoir have been opened due to heavy rains, the Irrigation Department says.Irrigation Engineer Sampath Samarajeeva, officer in charge of the reservoir, said that the reservoir was now releasing 1,400 cubic feet of water per second.

The reservoir which was currently at overflowing level, Eng Samarajeeva said.The total water capacity of the Deduru Oya Reservoir is 60,000 acre feet.
