Daiki Axis invests USD 5 Mn for water, sewage treatment plant in Kelaniya
Daiki Axis Corporation Japan with their local counterpart Daiki Axis Environment (Pvt) Ltd has invested USD 5 million to set up a Japanese package type waste water and sewage treatment product manufacturing factory in Gonawala, Kelaniya.Daiki Axis Corporation Japan Vice President Akihiro Horibuchi said that Japan has invested heavily towards its environmental protection and today Japan has a 96% natural water body. Also in Japan 26% of sewage is treated through Johkasou systems. Eight million systems are installed across Japan and plants are set up in eight countries.
“In Japan we are also engaged in households and building waste water management. Sri Lanka needs help from friendly countries at this crucial juncture and Daiki Axis Corporation, Japan is doing this now. With this local assembly plant, we offer all Sri Lankans an economical and affordable product”, he said. All domestic, regular and advanced Johkasau types can be installed underground and on ground.
“Scarcity of water is a major challenge faced by the world. Hence it is high time we gave it a good thought and find means to purify waste water to be reused. It would also reduce utility bills of households significantly,’’ said Daiki Axis Environment (Pvt) Ltd Director /CEO Prabath Dhanayake at the unveiling of Daiki Johkasou product.The Japanese package type waste water and sewage treatment product Daiki Johka-sou assembled in Sri Lanka with Japanese expertise is the ideal solution for water purification.”
