Midweek Review
Crisis Time Historian
By Lynn Ockersz
The journalists stood their ground,
Unfazed by the Jackboot crunch,
Though bloodied somewhat,
On that historic March night,
When a power bastion was stormed,
By humans hungering for Bread,
And claiming their Right to Life,
Bringing so much to mind Bastille’s fall,
But our Scribes had their work cut out,
They told of the tumult from the inside,
Sharing in the tear gas and baton assaults,
Thus, putting the issue beyond doubt,
That it’s the journalist on the spot,
Who, ‘the first draft of history’ crafts.
