Creative Writing Competition 2024 by English Writers Collective (EWC)

EWC last week invited entries from Sri Lankans above 18-years of age for the above competition consisting of two sections: Prose and Poetry.

Short stories of up to 2,500 words and poems of 32 lines or less to be submitted, abiding by the stated guidelines. Entries should not have been published earlier. Prose entries to be Word documents; type: Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each category, an EWC news release said..

A submission fee of .Rs1,000 per three poems one prose entry to be transferred to The English Writers Collective of Sri Lanka, account number 0076463484 at the Bank of Ceylon, Kiribathgoda Branch. Cheques could also be registered posted to Hony Treasurer, Ms Pia Hatch, 10, Police Park Avenue, Colombo 5. Proof of bank transfer should be WhatsApped to 077 727 4483 along with the payer’s name and title/s of submitted work, the release said.
