SDIG Tennakoon tells Veyangoda traders how to keep EC open

Western Province Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon, on Wednesday, visited the Veyangoda Economic Centre and spelt out how the vendors should engage in their trade in the current environment and said that the police would allow the traders to have a smooth operation if they adhered to the health guidelines.
The DIG also said vendors and vegetable stall owners could carry out their day to day business activities without carrying curfew passes.
Veyangoda Economic Centre’s Chairman H A Suneth Chandrakumara said: “Only today everyone turned up here. We are indeed very happy.”
He also thanked Police for their efforts to keep the centre running.
