Couple donates wedding day cash

Newly married Venya Wijegoonawardene and Joss Yerbury donated wedding day cash to Gammadda for the people affected by Sri Lanka’s economic crisis and to Heart To Heart Trust Fund with a view of preventing and curing heart disease and financially assisting those who are in need of heart surgery, said a press release.

It said: They contributed to the worthy cause that nobody with heart disease should die or suffer due to financial difficulty in this country. Their support could save the lives of financially deprived heart patients who may otherwise unfortunately succumb to the decease.

The Heart To Heart Trust Fund has another fundraiser programme “Abhayadanaya”. Families and Individuals too can join this programme by sponsoring a patient to commemorate an event or anniversary or celebrate a wedding or birthday by saving a life of a cardiac patient with a part of the money that would otherwise be spent on celebration alone.
