COPE faults LRC for failure to publish annual reports

A probe conducted by the parliamentary watchdog COPE (Committee on Public Enterprises) has found that the Land Reform Commission (LRC) has failed to submit up-to-date annual reports since 2015.

COPE Chairman Prof. Ranjith Bandara recently expressed the committee’s displeasure at the fact that the Commission had not published its annual reports despite repeated reminders.

The COPE meeting was attended by Janaka Wakkumbura, Jagath Pushpakumara, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Nimal Lanza, Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, Chaminda Wijesiri, Jagath Kumara Sumithraarachchi, Sudarshana Denipitiya, Upul Mahendra Rajapaksha, M Rameshwaran, Rajika Wickramasinghe and Madura Withanage.
