Cop arrested for attempting to sell ICE

Police have arrested a constable over an alleged attempt to sell 21g of crystal methamphetamine commonly known as ICE.

Officers of Police Intelligence arrested the constable attached to ‘Minijaya’ police post in the Bloemendhal area in Kotahena on Monday. The suspect has claimed that he got involved in the drug trade due to financial problems. Police said that he had admitted that ICE belonged to a narcotic dealer the police arrested recently. The police recently arrested a constable attached to the Special Task Force and two Prison personnel in Matara and Kandy respectively on drug offenses.
