College of Optometry and Vision Science

Sri Lanka Optometric Association established the College of Optometry and Vision Science, which is the association’s educational arm, on 21 January 2024.

Opt. Hiram Perera, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Optometrist Association (SLOA) and Managing Director of the College of Optometry & Vision Science (COVS) and Board of Directors of SLOA/COVS, invited Dr. Amila De Alvis, President of the College of Ophthalmologists of Sri Lanka, as the Chief Guest, Past President Dr. K. A. Salvin, Dr. Nalin Goonasinghe — Community Ophthalmologist, and Dr. Ajith Polwatte —Director NVQ of Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission attended the occasion.
