Classic Car Rally Launch

Destination Rally together with Authencities (Pvt) Ltd organized the Sri Lanka Classic Car Rally from 17th to 30th January 2023. The rally features 17 different kinds of classic cars from Austria, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe and Scotland were temporally imported under the Carnet de Passage Permit issued by the Automobile Association of Ceylon. All of them are temporary registered with the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to drive in Sri Lankan roads.

At the starting point, Waikkal, Devapriya Hettiarachchi, secretary and Chithralal Liyanasuriya, chief engineer of the Automobile Association flagged off the cars.

The rally is scheduled to cover Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara – Eliya, Wellawaya, Yala, Weligama, Galle, Bolgoda and back to Colombo covering a total mileage of 1,700 km. The rally is scheduled to end at the Taj Hotel in Colombo on Sunday 29th afternoon.
