CIPM focuses on ’Global crises and future of work’

CIPM Sri Lanka – a leader in human resource management, completed its 5th CIPM International Research Symposium on HRM 2021 via a virtual platform recently.

The symposium provided scholarly contributions towards the advancement of the national and global HR fraternity.

Organised by the CIPM Standing Committee on Applied Research and Knowledge Centre, this year’s theme was ’Global Crises and Future of Work’ with special emphasis on the effectiveness of HRM practices in the performance of private, public, and NGO sector organisations locally and internationally.

It also provided a forum for HR practitioners, researchers, faculty, and students to present their scholarly contributions on contemporary HR issues to disseminate and recognise their research findings.

President CIPM Sri Lanka Jayantha Amarasinghe, Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Chairman, University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka, Keynote Speaker, Dr. Aquil Busrai, CEO, Aquil Busrai Consulting, India, Prof.(Dr.) Prasadini Gamage and Indika Kaluarachchige participated in the event.

It comprised a panel discussion while the technical sessions had seven tracks including a case study session and a valedictory session.

Several well-known HRM practitioners, academics, national and international HRM researchers and CIPM Ex-Co contributed their insights at these sessions.

CIPM President Jayantha Amarasinghe said, “The 5th CIPM International Research Symposium on HRM 2021 has successfully turned a new page in CIPM/IPM history especially during the pandemic by concluding a great scholarly event not only for the academic world but also for the betterment of the national and global HR fraternity.”

More than 400 attendees participated in the symposium,” CIPM said.
