CIPM and CA Sri Lanka sign MoU to enhance HRM and financial literacy
The nation’s leader in HRM in Sri Lanka- the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and Sri Lanka Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), who has been the vanguard in developing the Accounting Profession across Sri Lanka, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 3, establishing cooperation for the advancement of financial literacy, HRM literacy and relevant programmes for knowledge sharing with the HR and finance fraternity.
Ken Vijayakumar, president CIPM, and Sanjaya Bandara, president CA Sri Lanka, ceremonially signed the MoU at a graceful event held in CA Sri Lanka- head office. Representing CIPM, Colonel Saman Jayawickrama, the Honorary Treasurer and UAC Obeyesekere, the Chief Executive Officer, joined the event. Laknath Jayawickrema, Council Member, Ms Dulani Fernando, CEO, and Ms Niroshi Siriwansa, Head, Business School, joined the occasion representing CA Sri Lanka.
According to the agreement, the CIPM is to conduct a tailor-made training program in HR management for a selected group of CA SL members, enabling them to develop the required HR knowledge to benefit them in their career pursuits. Furthermore, CA SL is responsible for creating a tailor-made training program on financial management for a selected group of CIPM members to upgrade their professional skills to the level of C-suite executives in the corporate world.
CIPM and CA Sri Lanka are to provide concessionary rates for their members to participate in training programs, conferences, seminars, and workshops designed to facilitate their respective members’ professional development.
The collaboration between these world-renowned institutions, CIPM and CA Sri Lanka, with over six decades of professional excellence, will pave the way for raising the standards of professionalism in HRM and finance in Sri Lanka.
