CID sleuths fly to Jakarta to probe mystery death of Lankan billionaire there

A special team of CID sleuths is scheduled to leave for Indonesia to investigate the mysterious death of billionaire businessman Onesh Subasinghe in an apartment complex in Jakarta.

Police headquarters sources said that 45-year-old Onesh Subasinghe, the Managing Director at OPEX Holdings, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an apartment in the Indonesian capital on 03 Feb.

He was on vacationing there with his Brazilian wife, Rosa Silva, his daughter, and his wife’s assistant.

Ateam of investigators, led by Director CID SSP Kavinda Piyasekara, has been appointed to carry out an investigation, with the assistance of the Interpol and Indonesian law enforcement.
