Ayurveda is an ancient healing modality that dates back more than, 5,000 years. The traditional medicine practice hails from the Indian subcontinent, but today it is widely practiced around the world, renowned for its health benefits and ability to promote well being to aid body, mind and skin. Dr. Shanika Arcscularatne MD of Christell Skin Clinic is no stranger to the medical beauty business. She says the new line of treatments is designed to help clients achieve a truly transformative mind, body and spirit experience; one that promises renewed energy, a relaxed body, and relief from persistent ailments.

Why did Christell clinic start auruveda?

As a western medical practitioner we use the newest technologies and Medicines to treat a patient. But sometimes the root cause needs to be addressed in a more holistic way rather than just by popping pills. For example some patients come to me to treat acne which we successfully do. But if the root causes stress, rather than giving them Tablets for this we do Ayurvedic medical destress treatments, which would give a complete cure .

How will skin clinic Christell go hand in hand with auruvedic medicine?

Our goal is to make people beautiful INSIDE OUT through sustainable holistic medical wellness therapies. while we use the modern medical technologies and medicine to treat a certain condition , we will use the medical sciences of Ayurveda to amplify its benefits so we don’t use pills to solve every little thing.

All treatments from the Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness menu are carefully designed and overseen by the Christell Skin Clinic’s certified Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery specialists. Following an initial consultation to determine each client’s individual Prakthri (body constitution) and Dosha (body humours), a personalised treatment plant is also formulated, to be carried out a team of trained therapists.

In accordance our principles, female clients will be attended by clinic’s female therapists, and male clients by male therapists.

Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness offers a broad portfolio of nourishing and healing body treatments, including those that promote reduced inflammation and overall skin hydration, skin nourishment and improved complexion, body exfoliation for glowing complexion, weight loss, skin cleansing, and improved blood circulation. Of the face treatments offered are face massages, herbal face masks, and various other procedures for dry skin and skin discoloration.

“Sri Lankans have a tendency to lean towards all things traditional, and irrespective of the many Western treatments that have seemingly surpassed this ancient science, Ayurveda has withstood the test of time, as an effective holistic healing system for many of our modern-day afflictions,” said Prof. Ramani Arsecularatne, . “With Christell Luxury Ayurveda Wellness, we hope to offer a certified alternative for those looking to find health and wellness solutions outside of, or even in tandem with Western treatments.”
