Chinese grant to construct 2500 housing units for medium and low wage earners – Arundika

State Minister of Urban Development and Housing Arundika Fernando addressing media at the Presidential Media Center on Thursday (27) said that the Chinese government had agreed to provide a grant to construct 2500 dwelling houses at five housing complexes in Colombo and its suburbs for medium and low wage earners .

He added that President Ranil Wickremesinghe had penned  the agreements in this regard recently and that Sri Lanka has received an initial payment of US$ 200 million.
