Chathurya, Vichinthya, Thilina, Apna advance to second round 

Nilaweera brothers Chathurya and Vichinthya, Thilina Dissanayake and Apna Perera won their respective matches to advance to the second round of the ITF Junior Circuit Week I event at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Monday.

Chathurya beat India’s Omaansh Choudhary Saaria 6-2, 6-2 in his first-round match, while Dissanayake beat Patrik Hinz of Germany 6-2, 6-0. Vichinthya won his match against India’s Krish Karpe 4-7, 6-2, 6-3.

Perera beat India’s Vibhu Challagundla 6-2, 6-0 in his match.

In the girls event Vishmi Serasinghe beat Rishitha Reddy Basireddy of India (7-6(5), 3-6, 7-6(6), while Dulkini Ranasinghe beat Maryam Seraj of India (2-6, 6-2, 7-6).
