Charity in his memory…
They have been around for quite a while and they are still very much active – doing yeomen service for the needy.
Remember the Music Clubs and Gangs (MCG) of the good old days!
Yes, these guys and gals are working on a charity project, in the name of their friend, rapper Shiraz Yusuf (also known as Rude Bwoy), who died while singing during the Aragalaya, at Galle Face.
The charity project, they say, is in aid of the Golden Path Mothers’ Hostel, at Raja Mawatha Road, Ratmalana, and is scheduled for the 18th of December.
With the contribution of their members, they plan to provide lunch (approximately 30, including staff), dry rations, medical aid, and building renovation.
They have done several charity projects, in the past, and this happens to be their seventh.
The project, this year, they say, is in memory of their dear friend Shiraz, who was also a member of the MCG and was, in fact, involved in two charity projects.
