Chagall, Sri Lanka’s premiere hair and beauty salon has taken a magnanimous decision where they will donate 10% from all services performed at the Salon on both 8th and 9th March in commemoration of International Women’s Day, to the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association Projects.

“Supporting and celebrating women’s rights is a year-round responsibility, but on International Women’s Day (IWD), which is on March 8, it’s even more important to take a stand for women”, said Founder and Owner of Chagall, Gerald Solomons.

Whether it be a hair cut, blow dry, manicure, pedicure, make up, sari drape, in short the entire gamut of Chagall’s offerings, will have 10% donated towards the Girl Guides Projects, which are numerous and take place islandwide.

” Women need to look good every day of their lives, [ men too ], but on this all important day I thought it’s only fitting that we come up with something for women who are underprivileged, marginalized, in need of even the most basic of things which we take for granted and I’m sure that all our clients will be only too happy to know that they too are part of this special effort”, said Gerald.

“As a result of the Pandemic, women and girls are even more at risk of abuse and discrimination and I am happy that this year Chagall can contribute towards their upliftment” .

Gerald’s creed is that everyone needs to look fabulous everyday; not just on special occasions, but having said that International Women’s Day is indeed a very very special occasion, and Chagall this year will not only ensure that all women who walk into Chagall will look good, but feel good as well, knowing that they are part of a worthy cause.
