Celebrations…a day in advance

Yohani de Silva, of ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ fame, celebrated her 30th birthday, a day in advance – on 29th July.

Those present to wish the popular singer included several well-known personalities, folks from the local film world, as well as Rajiv Sebastian who penned one of her popular hits, ‘Haal Massa.’

Yohani says she will be in town for a longer period, than usual.

Because of her commitments in India, she visits her homeland, only for special events.

However, after her performance at the Mrs. India for Mrs. World beauty pageant, held in Colombo, Yohani says she will remain in town till the completion, and release, of her album ‘Kella.’

The album contains three English songs, the rest all Sinhala.

Yohani also performed at the LPL opening ceremony, on Sunday, 30th July, and will also be there for the other matches, as well, she says, as she is the brand ambassador for this particular tournament.
